I created the original Arctic Terns painting for a fundraiser supporting Defend the Sacred AK, an indigenous-led organization that works to protect the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge from oil development, among many other action items. Their vision: “We see a future Alaska that offers a place and a role to ALL people. We envision an Alaska that is guided by Indigenous knowledge and place-based knowledge in a post-oil economy”.
